Create and participate in playlist contests
Contests are time-limited competitions where songs compete for top rankings based on chart scores. How it works: • Songs are ranked by their chart score (Bayesian score), which combines ratings and plays • The top 3 songs at the end of the voting period receive contest winner badges (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) • Contests automatically enable song submissions, allowing users to submit their songs • A countdown timer shows how much time remains until voting ends
You can customize contest rules in the Rules tab to explain: • How songs are ranked (chart score) • How winners are determined (top 3 get badges) • How users participate (submit songs before deadline) • Voting period and deadline Use markdown headings (##) to organize your rules into sections. The rules are visible to all participants.
Countdown timer: • Shows time remaining until voting ends • Displayed on contest playlist covers and detail pages • Updates in real-time Ranking: • Songs are automatically sorted by chart score in contest playlists • Chart score combines ratings and plays using Bayesian ranking • Rankings update as users rate and play songs Winners: • Top 3 songs at the deadline receive contest winner badges • Badges appear on the songs: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place • Winners are determined based on final chart scores at the deadline
