And yes, Saltwater Crocodiles can leap upwards out of the water for almost their full length when they want to. Usually it is for food. Search Google for videos of Saltwater Crocodile feeding tours on the Adelaide River to see them doing that. I put my boat in that river once but turned around after I was a couple of miles down the river and came back. Logic told me it was not wise to be on a river where the crocs are used to jumping up out of the water every day.
