While living in Darwin I was a member of the Rocksitters Club. Rocksitters would meet up after 3pm to sit on a rock in the ocean. You could walk to the rock at low tide but had to swim to it at high tide. Rocksitting was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. A few beers with funny people with great senses of humour. They also had one off days during the year that they had funny quirky activities, like playing golf on a 9 hole golf course and having to drink one beer for every stroke it took you to sink a ball. The Darwin Ice Hockey club where they actually would write a letter to the world champions challenging them to an ice hocky match on Mindil Beach in Darwin. On the day we would arrive in a bus at the beach dressed in Ice Hockey gear and look for ice. When the world champions fail to appear we win by default and go on a big victory pub crawl in the bus. We remain World Champions to this day undefeated. I will post other songs on those activities in the future.
